Must Have Winter Coats on Amazon

With February almost halfway gone, now is about the time that I have finally gotten used to writing 2020 on documents.  We had an exceptionally warm December for the Midwest, but January and February have been pretty cold and snowy. I’ve definitely had  to break out the winter boots, a cozy sweater, and the puffer coat to ward off the chill. When the weather is mild I will wear a simple wool jacket over whatever I am wearing. However, for serious cold weather, thick layers (and lots of them) are the key to staying warm. It can be hard to find thick, warm layers that are feminine and stylish. But by picking complementary colors and adding a few accessories, even the thickest, most utilitarian puffer coat can look stylish.

I’m always getting asked what are reputable clothing brands to buy on Amazon. And I tell people all the time I highly recommend the Amazon Essentials line of clothing. This line is filled with every day essentials, that you will wear year after year. And the brand focuses on every detail to ensure quality, comfort, and fit. With that in mind, when I found this heavy-weight puffer coat for under $55, I knew I had to have it! And after wearing it a few times, it definitely does not disappoint. This coat is heavy, but not too heavy to the point you feel like the Stay Puffed Marshmallow Man. I love how comfortable it is, and the hood  and body (not the sleeves) even have a fleece lining to keep you extra warm. It even has thumb holes to keep your hands toasty. 

This coat is a good length – it goes just beyond the waist to cover you where you really need it. But it isn’t too long that you are tripping over it. I am wearing the burgundy color here, but I also got this coat for my daughter in a charcoal color, and she wears it every day! This coat is definitely true to size. I am wearing my typical XS and it fits perfectly. 

Layers are the Key to Staying Warm

Layering is not only practical, but it is such a fun way to add style to any winter outfit. I like the preppy look of an oxford shirt layered under a crew sweater with a comfortable pair of jeans. And it is amazing how adding a simple wool scarf (like this plaid one I am wearing) goes a long way to keeping your body warm. This scarf looks like it would be expensive, but it is actually under $31 and comes in lots of different colors.

If you are anything like me, Amazon is the place to go for just about everything! When it comes to fashion Amazon can be a bit overwhelming.
