The Palms Resort and Spa – Providenciales Turks & Caicos
If you’ve been following my Instagram page at all you may have noticed that we spent part of February at the Palms Turks and Caicos – a luxury resort and spa located in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. If you are considering a beach vacation in the Caribbean, The Palms should definitely be on your list of places to stay! This exquisite resort and spa has been consistently ranked as one of the best hotels in the Caribbean by Conde Nest Traveler and Travel and Leisure. The Palms is a 72-suite resort settled on 12 acres in the heart of Grace Bay Beach – one of the most beautiful white sand beaches in the world. The friendly staff, beautiful architecture, fine dining and boutique shopping make this a wonderful destination for both couples and families alike.
The friendly staff were there to greet us upon our arrival. Their Caribbean hospitality was evident the moment we set foot in the resort. Hotel staff took our bags, gave us cool towels to freshen up, and gave us their signature cucumber refreshment. We knew that we were in for a treat for our stay!
The Accommodations
Our hotel room was absolutely fantastic! This suite, not just a room, is the epitome of comfort and luxury. All 1500 square feet of this luxurious space is appointed with the finest furniture and appliances. Looking out from our suite you can see the beautiful blue Atlantic ocean. Next to the living room is a large terrace where you can enjoy the refreshing Caribbean breeze.
The kitchen I have to say is every bit as nice as mine at home. Appointed with Viking appliances, this kitchen is designed with luxurious comfort in mind. You can even have a personal chef prepare a meal for you here. As I am partial to white kitchens, I just love this one at the Palms!
Our bedroom is just so relaxing with it’s king-size bed and exqusite linens. With ample closet space, there is plenty of storage for your luggage and belongings. And the aesthetic is just my style, with light and airy decor.
Not pictured, this room also has a full bathroom with a water closet, tub, and duel shower heads. The suite also has a half bath and on-site laundry. A staff member comes every evening to turn the beds. We were pleasantly surprised to see a small gift for us every evening we were there. Our apartment-style suite has everything couples and families could ever need on vacation! No detail is spared in these suites designed for pampering and relaxation.
The Pool Experience
This beautifully sculpted serpentine pool with it’s infinity edge is one of the finest pools in the Caribbean. Poolside service was present to cover our lounge chairs in soft terry fabric. They were even so kind to put up an umbrella to keep us in the shade. You can even swim up for a drink at the poolside bar. My husband and I spent hours relaxing by the pool, it is just so nice!
I was beach ready in my colorful botanical Trina Turk one-piece bathing suit (though I will say my skin definitely did not have that summer glow at the time). I like this bathing suit because it has the features of a bikini with it’s plunging neckline. At the same time, it is still a one-piece that requires not sucking in after eating, and it keeps me appropriately covered. I am wearing the smallest size Trina Turk offers, a 4. I am longer waisted, and because it ties in the back, I could adjust how this suit fits on me.
This crochet cover-up tunic is perfect over any bathing suit. The flattering crochet design with it’s plunging neckline and scalloped edges, will make any woman feel feminine. What I really like about this cover up is that you can still see my bathing suit underneath it.
If the beach is more your style, the beautiful white-sand Grace Bay beach is just a few steps away. Relax by the ocean and you can even have a chance to watch an amazing Caribbean sunset. The water is surprisingly warm – in the winter the water gets as warm as 80 degrees here.
The Resort Grounds
When not relaxing by the pool, I spent my time wandering around the world-class resort grounds. Colorful pink bougainvilleas can be found all over the resort. Walking through the Palms is an experience in itself, as every spot it seems provided the perfect photo opportunity. The award winning spa looks like it could be on a Southern plantation home. And several shops are at the Palms that focus on upscale boutique shopping featuring designer brands and exquisite selections from around the world.
Even at night, the Palms has something to offer. Gorgeously lit grounds make the night time a special and unique experience at this resort.

Dining at The Palms
Whatever your tastes are, is there our an array of dining choices at the Palms Turks and Caicos. Parallell 23 is the upscale dining experience at the resort. I have to say the food is outstanding! Guided by skillful hand of Executive Chef Lauren Callighen, guests can experience an exemplary selection of land and sea favorites including coconut-marinated conch ceviche, pan-seared tuna, and 21-day aged steaks. An extensive boutique wine list is available for your enjoyment as well.
You can dine al-fresco or enjoy your meal in the chic and upscale casual dining room at Parallel 23. We enjoyed our experience so much here that we came here twice for dinner during our stay.
Start your day and a delightful way at The Garden, the complementary buffet breakfast offered at The Palms. This is no ordinary continental hotel breakfast, but more of a breakfast feast!
Enjoy breakfast in a relaxing courtyard surrounded by tropical plants and the sights and sounds of a glorious day in paradise. The tone for the day is definitely set here, and what a wonderful way to begin the day!
An extensive hot and cold buffet includes fresh fruit, breads and pastries, yoghurts and traditional breakfast favorites such as scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes and french toast. You can even request a custom made omelette at the egg station.
Other dining experiences include 72Ā° West, where you can have a fine dining experience under the stars. Have a light lunch at the poolside Plunge restaurant and bar while you are spending your day by the pool. You can even have your own personal chef prepare you a dinner under the stars or in your luxurious suite.
The Spa Experience
Indulge all of your senses in the best spa experience in the Caribbean. As you walk through pale-green iron gates you will begin to notice the aroma of geraniums, hibiscus, and sandalwood. come here to spend your time in a meditative oasis designed for peaceful relaxation.
A massage is a rare treat for me, so my 60 minute massage experience at The Spa was nothing short of wonderful. As if I weren’t already relaxed enough by spending time here.
Michelle Pirret Sound
The highlight of our time at the Palms Turks and Caicos was being able to hear Michelle Pirret Sound. Michelle is not only a talented jazz singer, but also a “Sound Meditation Practitioner”. She utilizes vibroacoustic instruments (crystal bowls) as a form of sonic therapy to promote self-healing and individual consciousness. I heard her soulful, soothing, and sultry voice at dinner. Then one day at the spa, I stumbled upon the ethereal sounds she creates with her vibrating crystal bowls and her gong.
Listening to Michelle making beautiful music from her crystal bowls was a surreal experience. I could just feel the self-healing as the music reverberated throughout the room. If you ever get a chance to hear her, it is an experience you will not forget!
So if you are considering a trip to the Caribbean I highly recommend The Palms Turks and Caicos. The ultimate resort experience combined with unmistakable Caribbean hospitality will be what makes our family decide to come here again and again!
