Margaux NY Review

I have seen so many shoe brands come and go over the years. But every once in a while a shoe brand will pique my attention when it offers something unique, that you don’t find in many other brands. Such is the case with Margaux New York, an up and coming women’s shoe brand based out of New York City. I first learned about MargauxNY when reading the New York Times, and right away I knew this was a brand that was  perfectly suited for me and my busy lifestyle. I recently had the opportunity to try a pair of MargauxNY shoes myself, and I’m so glad that I did! 

Meet the Founders

MargauxNY was founded in 2015 by two recent Harvard graduates, Alexa Buckley and Sarah Pierson. The two set out to create a brand of shoes that are “thoughtfully designed, versatile, and most importantly, comfortable shoes that meet the demands of modern life”.  The duo has created styles are crisp and refreshing, and their shoes are comfortable for anyone who is on their feet all day. At the same time MargauxNY shoes are still stylish and fashionable, with a look of understated elegance. Ladies, you read my mind when you created this company! It is so hard, as a woman to find a shoe that is tailored perfectly for you. MargauxNY offers an unparalleled extended size range (in three widths). They also offer and made-to-measure sizing so that every woman can find her perfect fit, regardless of size. They even offer a fitting kit, so you can determine the perfect shoe size just for you and you alone. 

The Demi Ballerina Flat

You would think that finding a comfortable ballerina flat would be easy. This is far from the case! So many brands that I have tried (with good reputations) leave much to be desired. More often than not I end up with tired, and achy feet with just a few hours of wear. The MargauxNY Demi flat is the first flat I have tried in a very long time that makes me feel like I am walking on air! And they are just as comfortable, eight hours later, as they were when I first put them on my feet. I definitely recommend ordering TTS (I am wearing my typical 7.5 medium).  So much thought went into the making of this shoe. You can even cinch the drawstring to help with any looseness around the heel. I am wearing the color Carmine Suede here, but these Parisian chic flats also come in an array of colors, both in leather and suede. I love them so much I want them in every color! These are my new favorite flats!

Even More MargauxNY To Love

MargauxNY got their start selling ballerina flats, but this is not the only type of shoe they offer. I also love their signature block heel. It’s the first block heel that I look at and think, “I can wear this all day!”. The coral color and the leopard print color are my favorites. If a heel is not quite what you had in mind, MargauxNY also offers their classic flats. These shoes are designed with both form and function in mind. And these also come in an array of colors! For the fall and winter I love their classic ankle boot. For the summer months their classic sandal would be perfect! All Margaux NY shoes are manufactured in family-owned factories in Spain.
