Even though my name is April, May actually is one of my favorite months of the year. Since I live in the upper Midwest, it seems like we are one of the last places to experience spring. But when it does, everything around here seems to come alive! For about two weeks in May the Magnolia, Dogwood, and even Cherry trees here sprout their flowers. And that means there is a beautiful spot for pictures everywhere you look! It’s like nature’s way of rewarding us for enduring a long, cold winter. So when spring finally arrives, that certainly puts me in the mood to wear spring dresses.
Rachel Parcell Romantic Button Front Dress
I’ve always admired the classic yet whimsical style of Rachel Parcell dresses. Her blog is one of the first blogs I have followed, as I’ve always liked her style. When her dresses finally arrived at Nordstrom, I decided to finally take the plunge and get one, and I’m so glad I did! When I discovered this romantic button front dress, I knew it would be perfect for any spring event. And as soon as you put it on, you will notice how the lightweight material just flows so well. I really like how this dress accentuates the waist in a flattering way. You will definitely feel confident, yet feminine when you wear it! I am wearing the pink delicacy painted floral color, but it also comes in a lovely coral color too.
To add visual interest to this dress, I am also wearing this Halogen enamel round buckle belt. Since this dress is A-line, the belt is a great way to further accentuate your waist. And the pink color perfectly accents the dress!
Like Dreams Clara Top Handle Box Clutch
This clutch is not your ordinary handbag! The color is a gorgeous shade of pink with a mother-of-pearl like finish. This is an elegant little purse for weekend date or spring/summer events, parties, weddings. And it is still neutral enough that it can be worn with huge assortment of dresses or jeans and a top. And it is large enough to carry your essentials. This clutch is really well made, and at under $70 it is just as nice as some of the more expensive box bags I own.
More Rachel Parcell Favorites
The entire Rachel Parcell line is classy yet elegant. Almost all of her dresses fall below the knee, but I still find this works on my petite frame. One of my other favorites from her line is this lavender lace square neck dress. I gasped to myself when I saw how beautiful it is! I also really like this pretty blue tiered ruffle sleeve dress. Fluttery short sleeves and a flowy tiered skirt make this dress so feminine. This v-neck lace dress in white would also look great with the Halogen belt I am wearing, and would be perfect for any spring formal event. See more favorites below:
