Williams Sonoma In Home Design Services
The holidays are almost here! I love this time of year because that means bringing our family together to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas. We moved into our new home in 2014 and our dining room was one of the last rooms to complete. So I was beyond thrilled when I was given the opportunity to collaborate with the Williams Sonoma in Briarwood Mall in Ann Arbor to help with the finishing details in my dining room, just in time for the Thanksgiving festivities. Did you know that Williams Sonoma offers in home design services? As a busy physician, mother, and blogger finding the time to complete the finishing touches to my dining room is next to impossible. Williams Sonoma makes the process easy with their in home design services. The design team of Stephen and Tricia were so easy to work with, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the final result!

I have to say that the tablescape that Williams Sonoma created for our home exceeded my expectations! The tablescape they created is nothing short of stunning. What I really liked about the design process with Williams Sonoma is that by listening to my suggestions they were able to incorporate the pieces I chose with their own ideas to create a timeless tablescape that will be used for years to come.
How perfect is this Figural Pumpkin Tureen for a fall tablescape? It is perfect for soups and stews, but we are going to use to serve mashed potatoes during our Thanksgiving feast.
The centerpiece is actually by Pottery Barn. These faux pumpkins are the perfect centerpiece for any fall display, and they can be used over and over again every fall season. They look so realistic and we were able to intermix them with live gourds to create a polished centerpiece.
The chargers, dinner plates, and salad plates are my favorite details about this tablescape. I chose the Plymouth Grey dinner plates because they are classically styled and versatile enough to coordinate with multiple different salad plates, depending on the season. Tricia suggested mixing the Acorn Salad Plates with the Botanical Pumpkin salad plates to create a more interesting look. The Bronze Hammered charger and coordinating napkin ring coordinate so well with the plates. The charcoal gray napkins and table runner tie in with the Plymouth Grey dinner plates perfectly.
The wine glasses are a part of the Schott Zwiesel Pure Stemware Collection. These glasses are both beautiful and extremely durable. They are made from Tritan crystal that is break-, chip- and scratch-resistant. This crystal maintains its sparkling clarity through years of daily use and entertaining. I love how simple and elegant this stemware looks on our dining room table.
These hammered copper cocottes are perfect for individual soups, side dishes or desserts. I plan on serving apple cobbler in these for Thanksgiving.
My gorgeous buffet and table were actually custom made by Rustic Elements Furniture in Chicago. These are hand-made, one of a kind pieces that are so well made they will last for generations. On the buffet is the Botanical Pumpkin rim rectangular platter and serve bowl.
Can I tell you how much I love this Beckett Bar Cart? I looked at so many different bar carts but in the end this one is the only one that I really like. This bar cart is simple yet sophisticated and it looks gorgeous in our dining room!
Overall I just couldn’t be more happy with the final design of our dining room. Stephen (pictured above), the general manager of Williams Sonoma Briarwood was such a pleasure to work with, and the entire team made preparing for Thanksgiving dinner so easy.
