Michael Todd Beauty Sonicsmooth Dermaplaning System Review
Have you ever heard of dermaplaning? With all of the various skin treatment options available today, it can be hard to keep them all straight in your mind. Honestly, I hadn’t heard of dermaplaning until I was introduced to the Michael Todd Beauty Sonicsmooth Dermaplaning system. Dermaplaning is a skin care treatment that removes dead skin cells and vellus hair (also known as peach fuzz). Dermaplaning is very similar to microdermabrasion, as it does remove the top layer of dead skin cells. It also has the added benefit of removing unwanted facial hair. Previously dermaplaning was only available through an esthetician. Typically, a 10-inch scalpel is used to gently remove the unwanted facial hair as well as dead skin cells all around your face. Now however, with the development of the Michael Todd Beauty Sonicsmooth dermaplaning system, you can do it in the comfort of your own home. the I never realized just how much peach fuzz I had on my face until I tried the Michael Todd Beauty Sonicsmooth dermaplaning system. Now that I’ve tried it, this is a product that I can’t live without!
Harness the Power of Sonic Energy
This system comes with everything you need to effectively dermaplane your skin. The kit comes with the Sonicsmooth dermaplaning device and a base in which to recharge the device. It also comes with Michael Todd Beauty Honey and Oat cleanser. This is the ideal daily cleanser for all skin types to cleanse and prep the complexion for dermaplaning. Also included is the Sonicsmooth Soothe After Treatment Gel, which is to be used after using the device.
The Sonicsmooth dermaplaning system is incredibly easy to use. It comes with easy to understand directions so you can use it straight out of the box. I love that this device is so easy to incorporate into my beauty routine! I like to use it at night so I can apply my usual nighttime facial moisturizers.
Sonic Speed and Safety Edges
The Michael Todd Beauty Sonicsmooth dermaplaning device can be used at three different sonic speeds, depending on the sensitivity of your skin. You do not have to worry about cutting yourself! The sonicsmooth utilizes specially designed safety edges combined with sonic technology (258 movements per second) to precisely remove peach fuzz and gently smooth the complexion. This device is not painful, and the gentle sonic movements feel really nice on my skin. I would however avoid using it around the eyes, lips, and nose as the surface should be generally flat. The device should only be used about once a week. And I can use it in the comfort of my own home!
This rechargeable device is so simple to use. I like that I don’t have to worry about a cord when I use this. It has a running life of about three hours. The safety edges are disposable, and you should generally replace them every week. The device does come with 8 single safety edges (a 2 month supply).
Before and After Photos
The before and after photos here nicely demonstrate exactly what the Michael Todd Beauty Sonicsmooth dermaplaning device can do for your skin. These photos are completely unaltered. In my “before” photo on the left you can really see the thin and fine vellus hair on my cheeks. After using the device just once, the vellus hair is gone, and even fine lines are diminished. You can see the difference immediately after using the device. I just love how smooth my skin feels, and how much easier it is to apply my makeup smoothly. I even feel like my moisturizers work better, as they more easily penetrate my skin after using this device.
The Michael Todd Beauty Sonicsmooth Dermaplaning System is yours for under $100. It also comes with a 2 year warranty. I think this is a fantastic price, considering what you would pay at a spa. If you have any questions about the device, please do not hesitate to ask me. If you have ever tried dermaplaning yourself, I would love to hear your experience!
As always, thanks for stopping by!
