Hey everyone! I’m back today from a long hiatus. Obviously, there is a lot going on in the world right now, and that is mainly why I haven’t been posting lately. Here in Michigan COVID-19 has been running rampant (I am not proud to say we are the fourth in the country for cases right now). As is for everyone, this virus has dramatically altered our family’s lifestyle. With the statewide shelter in place order, we rarely leave our home. My husband is on the front line fighting it (thank goodness for people like him), and if it gets bad enough, I will be doing inpatient medicine as well (which I haven’t done in 13 years, though I remember it vividly). I spent one week in quarantine myself after developing a persistent cough. Since I work with immunosuppressed patients I had to be tested for the virus. It took a week for the test to come back negative (and thankfully it did). I stayed at home and didn’t leave the house until I knew for sure I didn’t have the virus. During that time I answered lots of patient phone calls and spent the time homeschooling my kids (which is a totally new endeavor!). Now that the virus is so prevalent, I am now seeing patients via video visits at home (which I never have done!). During my spare time, my daughters and I have been sewing lots of masks, both for our family and my husband’s colleagues. Never in a million years when I purchased a new sewing machine last month did I ever think I would be using it for this! I taught myself to sew them with an opening in them, so you can put a HEPA filter vacuum bag inside them (equivalent to a surgical mask). And I bought a cell-phone sterilizer to keep the masks clean too!

Everlane 25% Off Sale

With everything going on, I decided to get my butt in gear and put up a new blog post. And since Everlane is now having a site wide 25% off sale, now is the perfect time to do it! This is something that Everlane has never done, so now is a great time to try their clothing if you never have done so. I’ve been a regular shopper at Everlane for quite some time, as their classic styles made with quality materials keep me coming back again and again. The sale lasts until Friday, so definitely shop while you can.

Everlane ReCrop Varsity Sweater

Even though it is the first of April, there is definitely still a chill in the air around here. I bought this Everlane ReCashmere sweater a couple of months ago, and I’ve been wearing it on repeat during the colder weather! This sweater is made of a cashmere/wool blend which makes it soft, warm, and comfortable. I like that this sweater is versatile – it looks just as good with jeans as it does with dressier pants.  I am wearing the heathered sand color, but it also comes in navy, black, clay red, and a muted orange color.  The lighter buttons add a really nice contrast to the sweater. I am wearing the XS here and it fits perfectly.

Everlane Spring Sweaters

Everlane has so many nice basic sweaters that will last throughout the seasons. I really like this lightweight cashmere crew sweater for spring, and it comes in lots of nice colors. This short sleeve merino cardigan would look great with jeans and with shorts. And this classic grey cardigan is perfect for layering.

My Favorite Everlane Jeans

If there is one thing I recommend most from Everlane, it would be their denim. Everlane jeans come in lots of different styles, and the quality and fit is outstanding. I wear these Kick Crop Jeans all the time, and they look as good now as the day I purchased them. They have been so popular that they have nearly sold out. I also have these Cheeky Straight Jeans, and the fit of these is even better than the Kick Crop jeans.

My Favorite Everlane Footwear

My loafers here are actually by Madewell, but the Everlane Boss Flat looks strikingly similar. I highly, highly recommend the Day Heel. If you have to dress up yet be on your feet all day, you need these heels. I have them in four colors and I wear them all the time! And for springtime, these Editor slingback heels in pink suede would be perfect!

Thank you so much for taking the time to read today’s post. Stay safe, and as always, thanks for stopping by!
