The Benefits of the Dove Beauty Bar
I have been using the Dove Beauty Bar since my days in medical school, where the dermatologists I worked with recommended it as the best cleanser for the face. The Dove Beauty Bar is unique in that it doesn’t leave behind that dry, tight feeling that ordinary soaps can, which can be a sign of dry skin damage. A recent Dove survey found that 86% of dermatologists report that the “squeaky clean” feeling means your skin might be stripped of the moisture and nutrients it needs. Unlike basic soap bars, Dove Beauty Bar gently but effectively cleanses, leaving soft, smooth skin.
Your Skin Needs a Deep Yet Gentle Clean
The obvious goal of cleaning the skin is to remove dirt and makeup. Dove Beauty Bar works beautifully to clean the skin. At the same time the Dove Beauty Bar helps to replenish nutrients and lipids lost through cleansing.
Your Skin Needs to be Hydrated Just Like Your Body
The Dove Beauty Bar contains ¼ moisturizing cream with skin natural lipids helps replenish nutrients lost during the cleansing process. The Dove Beauty Bar contains DEFI (Sodium Lauroyl Isethionate) – a unique blend of mild cleansers with a formula that leaves skin soft and smooth.
It is Essential to Protect Your Largest Organ
The Dove Beauty Bar works to replenish nutrients lost during the cleansing process to leave skin feeling soft and smooth. What is really nice about iconic Dove Beauty Bar is that its superior, mild formula has remained essentially unchanged since its launch in 1957, providing the same great care and beauty benefits to women for more than 60 years. When something works that well, why change it?
So I can see why the Dove Beauty Bar is the #1 Dermatologist recommended skincare bar. Good skincare does not have to be expensive. The Dove Beauty Bar is sold at mass, food and drug retailers nationwide.
COMMON SKINCARE MYTHS
The common skincare myths below are brought to you by Dove Dermatologist Dr. Mona Gohara.
- Tight skin is normal – While tight skin might feel good, it is actually a sign that you are using the wrong products in the shower. Tight skin actually means you are stripping away the skin’s natural protective oils.
- You don’t need to moisturize oily skin – Regardless of skin type, all skin needs to be moisturized to stay healthy.
- After showering you want your skin to be “squeaky clean” – This couldn’t be further from the truth! A recent Dove survey found that 86% of dermatologists report that the “squeaky clean” feeling means your skin might be stripped of the moisture and nutrients it needs.
- Hot water is best – Just like harsh soaps, hot water can strip away the skin’s natural moisturizing oils, leaving it dry and sensitive.
Rough scrubbing is effective – Exfoliating is an important part of your skin cleansing routine, but it’s also important that you don’t overdo it. Harsh scrubs and loofahs can do more damage than good, so always use a light hand and be gentle with your skin. Also, look for a scrub that exfoliates and nourishes skin.

I don’t use dove products because they use Palm oil in their products and unilever has been involved in deforestation in Indonesia leaving Orangutans homeless.
I love the Dove products and the beauty bar is one of my favs!
