Gingerbread Latte with Maple Whipped Cream

When it comes to a cold winter day, there is nothing better than relaxing by the fire while enjoying your favorite latte. During the holidays I always like to find new ways unwind and get in the Christmas mood at the same time.  What better way than to enjoy a yummy gingerbread latte with maple whipped cream? Today I will show you just how easy it is to make and enjoy this festive winter drink. This is so easy that you can make a batch for you and your friends/family in no time flat!

Start With A Few Simple Ingredients

Making this gingerbread latte is not hard. You really just need a few simple ingredients. I like using fresh milk, cream, and espresso beans. Add sugar and crushed gingerbread cookies for sweetness. My favorite ingredients for this delicious treat however, are Torani gingerbread syrup and Torani maple syrups.  You may have seen this post where I used Torani syrups to make a raspberry lemonade. Torani has what seems like an endless array of flavors. And their Maple and Gingerbread syrups are perfect for this recipe!

Start By Making Your Whipped Cream

It’s best to make your whipped cream first, as you want to have it ready as soon as you make your latte. For whipped cream I like using this ICO professional whipped cream dispenser. This handy kitchen tool is so easy to use for making fresh whipped cream! If you don’t have a whipped cream dispenser, you can also use a blender such as a Vitamix on a high speed. This works just as easily, though it is harder to dispense it this way.

I add my heavy whipping cream, then sugar, and about a teaspoon of Torani Maple Syrup.

Add your charger and give it a good shake, and you’re done! I recommend putting it in the refrigerator while you are making your latte.

Froth The Milk

My husband loves making lattes all the time, so we invested in this Breville latte maker (we also have this more affordable one). This mother of all latte machines make grinding beans and frothing milk a breeze. If you don’t have an espresso machine you can easily froth your milk using an immersion blender or a compact frothing wand. I like to froth a cup of milk for each latte we are making.

Grind The Espresso Beans

To make a true espresso, start with roasted espresso beans. We like using our espresso machine to grind the beans and compress them into a fine powder. If you don’t have an espresso machine, you can use use this grinder and this press to make your espresso. Or just use a small amount of really strong coffee.

For the gingerbread flavoring, just add about two teaspoons of Torani Gingerbread Syrup. It doesn’t get easier than this, and it gives your latte a subtle but flavorful gingerbread taste.

Slowly add your milk to your gingerbread espresso. At the very end pour the last bit of foam so it lies on top of your latte.

And that’s it! For extra flavor add finely crushed gingerbread cookies on top of your whipped cream. And of course, who doesn’t want to enjoy their gingerbread latte with some festive gingerbread cookies??

  1. cant wait to try those syrups, im always looking for new things like this to try-thank you for sharing!

  2. Though I’m not much of a coffee drinker, I bet that gingerbread syrup would taste divine in a chai latte or regular cup of tea. What a yummy way to warm up on these cold days!

  3. This sounds delicious! And your gingerbread cookies look so pretty, too. I don’t like a lot of coffee flavor in my drinks, but I bet the gingerbread flavor would be amazing.

  4. Mmm, that sounds and looks delicious! The little gingerbread houses that sit on the edge of your cup are the best, though!

  5. Oh my lordy, the cookie accents are so perfect. This latte sounds absolutely delicious but I am obsessed with the accents

    1. Nikki – I wish I had that kind of time and talent! I got them from a local bakery. The gingerbread houses came from Williams Sonoma.

  6. I’m inviting myself over to your house for coffee! These lattes look (almost) too pretty to eat! I have Torani vanilla syrup but haven’t tried the gingerbread yet. I can’t wait!

  7. Your gingerbread latte with maple syrup looks delicious! I really want to have one of those right now because its freezing cold outside and I need a warm sweet drink!

  8. My stepdad likes to play barista in the house and is always making drinks for him and my mother; I’ll have to print this off for him! He’s not very tech-savvy lol

  9. Just making me in the mood for Christmas right now. I could use a cup of this for sure this morning. Looks delicious.
