When it comes to Valentine’s day, I love getting dressed up once for date night with my husband. It’s a rare chance we get to spend alone together. The rest of the time though, I would much rather be in jeans and a sweater or a comfy sweater dress, hanging out with my kids. Of course around this time of year my favorite sweaters to wear are in shades of pink or red as it is a great way to get you in the mood for this fun and festive holiday! And sweaters in these shades are versatile enough you can wear them beyond the holiday too.  And if you are the sort of person that prefers to celebrate Galentine’s day, then keep reading to find the perfect for hanging out with friends!

Ann Taylor Heart Short Sleeve Sweater

I was looking for the perfect sweater to wear for a Valentine’s day post, and when I found this adorable pink heart sweater at Ann Taylor, I knew it would be perfect! The mixture of red and pink colors works well for the holiday, yet it is classic enough to wear beyond the big day. It made of a comfortable and stretchy cotton/rayon blend, which makes it versatile enough to dress up with a skirt and a blazer or to dress down with a pair of jeans. And given the sleeves are short, this would be a great sweater to wear in the spring or summer too!  Sizing is true to size, and I am wearing my typical small here.

If you aren’t heading out on a glam and romantic date for Valentine’s day, sometimes it’s just fun to wear a simple pink or red sweater to celebrate the day. And the great thing about a simple sweater, is you can wear it throughout the spring too! This title says it is a Valentine’s day gift guide, but it is really more of a Galentine’s day gift guide. This gift guide is meant for the women in your life – moms, sisters, daughters, and girlfriends. Valentine’s day is such a fun holiday to celebrate. Our lives can get so hectic with jobs and families, so do deserve to treat ourselves once in a while too! And Valentine’s day is the perfect time to let the people in our lives know how much care about them, whether that’s with gifts, time together, or even just a quick message to say “How are you doing?”. And I love surprising my kids with a special treat the morning of Valentine’s day. It is so fun to see their faces light up in the morning, even if it is just a small treat.
