Sweater Dresses for Winter
We are nearing the end of January, and around here that means we are in the midst of deep winter. The first major snowfall of the year happened almost two weeks ago, and the snow has yet to melt from the ground. So when it gets cold like this, I am always looking for is to stay warm! And that means you’ll see me in turtleneck sweaters, sweatshirts with t-shirts underneath them, and layered pants (on the weekends). Much of the time I have to dress up, especially for my 9-5 job seeing patients. So to say warm, yet professional looking, I love to wear sweater dresses! this winter weather staple is easy to accessorize = wear it with boots or tights, or even over a nice pair of leggings. And a sweater dress is easy to dress up or dress down, depending on the occasion.
Lark and Ro Fit and Flare Sweater Dress
I’ve always loved the fit and quality of the Lark and Ro brand on Amazon. Their collection of polished essentials and every day stable appeals to my classic tastes. So when I saw this fit and flare sweater dress, I knew it would be a dress that I can wear on repeat for multiple seasons. Made from super-soft ribbed yarn, this dress is both stylish and comfortable. I am wearing the charcoal grey color here, but it also comes in green, red, navy, black and burgundy. And the fit and flare style is flattering on just about every body type. This dress is petite-friendly as it falls just above the knees. This dress is well-priced at under $60 too!
Via Spiga Houndstooth Coat
The Lark and Ro grey dress is easy to accessorize as it is essentially a blank slate. So to complement the color of the sweater, I decided to wear it with this classic houndstooth coat from Via Spiga. This is my favorite coat of the winter season! The houndstooth pattern is very chic, and the fur trim at the collar adds an element of sophistication. This coat is neutral enough to wear as an everyday coat, yet also works for a more formal occasion too. The coat is also true to size – here I am wearing the XS and it fits well.
I added a little bit of flare to the outfit by wearing leopard tights similar to these. I love the way this outfit came together, and it was nice to receive so many complements on it!
