Yumi Kim Prima Donna Dress
Summer in full swing (for now at least) and that means it is wedding season. But what do you wear that is stylish, comfortable, and doesn’t upstage the bride? There are so many dresses from which to choose, and sometimes the choice can be overwhelming. I found this lovely Yumi Kim Prima Donna dress and thought it would be perfect for a casual summer wedding! The yellow floral design is like a ray of sunshine on a warm summer day. The fitted, bustier style bodice is perfect for my smaller upper body. The fit and flare design is flattering on just about every body type. The spaghetti straps are fully adjustable, so that the final height can be more tailored to you. It also comes with a hidden back zipper and convenient pockets.
This dress is gorgeous on it’s own and thus I didn’t think it really needed to be accessorized. I kept the look simple but stylish by wearing it with my favorite sandals of the season – the Raye Lulu heel. My bag is the coveted Chloe Nile bag (smaller size) that I picked up at the Chloe store in SoHo, New York.
Other Favorite Yumi Kim Styles
The Yumi Kim brand is known for it’s warm and and colorful floral designs. I rarely see a floral pattern I don’t like and this is especially true for the Yumi Kim brand. There are so many other dresses by Yumi Kim that would be perfect for a summer wedding. The Waterfront Dress in Hibiscus has a beautiful high-low ruffle hem. The classic silhouette is timeless! The Citi Lights Midi dress is very similar, and I especially love the French Maison pattern. I love the one shoulder Model Behavior Dress, and could see it looking even more chic with a black belt at the waist. Finally I love the classic blue bell floral pattern of the Kennedy Dress. The crossover neckline is so flattering, and the hidden snap chest closure is such a nice detail!
All of the Yumi Kim dresses are petite-friendly. I am wearing an XS and the midi length of the Prima Donna dress fit perfectly on my small frame.
