Christian Louboutin So Kate Review
Today’s look is a simple and clean outfit. Pastel colors have always been my favorites so I decided to wear this simple grey sweater from Shein together with a classic grey trench and white skinny jeans. To complement the neutral color palette I am wearing Christian Louboutin ‘So Kate’ nude pumps. My bag, by Goyard, tied all the colors together.
The sweater itself is a simple knit sweater. It is warm and comfortable and fits surprisingly well for a one-size fits all sweater. The price is great at under $20 too! My jeans are my favorite petite-friendly white skinny jeans by J. Brand. My trench, sold by the Limited, is no longer available unfortunately.
I was shocked to read that The Limited had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. I am a Columbus, Ohio native and I have so many memories shopping at The Limited since my college days. The company just couldn’t survive the competitive retail market in the internet era. Hopefully they will be back soon though, as another company has bought the branding rights and has plans to reopen an online store. As for the trench, it is such a basic closet staple and there are so many other great options available now. A trench like this will be in style for years, and can go with so many outfits.
On to my shoes. With my first pair of Christian Louboutin’s I played it safe, and got a 3″ pump with a 1/2 in platform. I new I wanted a nice nude pair of pumps, and when I saw the So Kate pumps I knew they were what I was looking for. The 4.8″ heel is a bit daunting, but with an nice cushion insole they are much more comfortable. Definitely size up with these shoes! I normally wear a 7.5 but I decided to get the 38.5 in these shoes after reading the reviews. These shoes were fairly tight when I put them on, but using this shoe stretcher definitely makes them more comfortable faster. I wouldn’t wear these pumps to work, but they are suitable for wearing for a few hours for a special occasion. They do make my short 27″ inseam legs look much longer! Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase.
Thanks for looking!

I’ve heard that Loubs are the most uncomfortable shoes on the planet…do you think they’re worth spending the big bucks???

Such a cute look, love that grey with the white pants. Perfect transitional look for Spring! Those heels though…gorgeous!
My husband and I just moved to Columbus and I could not believe that the Limited filed for Chapter 11. I loved shopping there when I first started working. Love the pastel colors. I have been all about grey lately.
I love this grey and white combo! This is the perfect outfit to transition from winter to spring!
So chic! And those shoes are fab!

That trench is absolute perfection. Sad that The Limited filed for bankruptcy – so many of my favorite stores are in hot water financially right now.

My So Kate’s are so uncomfortable, so I’ll have to try the cushion! I just love how they look though! xx

did they stretch too much? i was told in the store to size down.. so i ended up with a half size smaller and they hurt like heck! but as i wear them i am breaking them in!
Alyssa…the shoe stretcher helps but I did have to keep it in place for several days to stretch them. Loubs are definitely shoes that feel better with wear!
