Romwe Navy Plaid Zipper Pleated Skirt
Plaid is always a classic. When I saw this cute Romwe navy plaid zipper pleated skirt, it immediately made me think of the skirts my daughter used to wear every day when she attended private school. Nevertheless, when I received it from Romwe I decided I wanted to create a more stylish look with the skirt. I have to say I’ve had Britney Spears “Baby One More Time” going through my head the entire day I wore this. I told my husband I should have worn pigtails, but that isn’t really my style. As for the skirt itself, the is very nice quality and is lined with shorts underneath it. A word of warning though, it does run small. I originally got the small that I always wear (after double checking the measurements on the website) but that skirt did not fit me at all. It was perfectly sized for my 10 year old daughter with her 19 inch waist. I decided to size up to a large and that skirt fits me the same as small and extra small skirts typically fit me.
To keep the skirt from looking like a typical school uniform, I paired it with my J. Crew Cambridge cable turtleneck. A winter staple, my Vince Camuto OTK boots worn together with the skirt created a more contemporary look. For a more whimsical style I added a wool floppy hat. Perfect for a weekend look or a lunch date.
Thanks for looking!
