How to Add Some Sparkle to Your Office Attire

Hey everyone! I hadn’t done an office-inspired blog post in a few weeks, so I thought I would do one today given it is the middle of the work week.  During the winter so often I gravitate toward dark colored pants, leggings and dresses. But now that the end of February is here, I feel inspired to change things up a bit with more pastel colors. The problem is, that it is still below freezing and there is lots of snow on the ground. So today I wanted to show you an outfit that works for springtime, but still is warm enough to wear in the winter.  And this outfit adds a little sparkle, which is always a good way to brighten up an otherwise cold and drab day.

Wearing sequins is always a great way to add a feminine touch to any outfit. When it comes to the office though, I personally don’t want to over do it. So when I found this Karen Kane shimmer twist front top, I knew that it would be great for wearing to work. This top has just the right amount of sparkle, without being over the top. It is a bit sheer, so I would wear a nice dressy coat over top of it when outdoors. But I do love how the twist front top adds a really flattering detail. I am wearing the soft pastel pink color here, but it also comes in a silvery black color. And it is on sale right now for under $60, which is a great price for the quality of the fabric.

More Sequin Tops to Love

This Karen Kane sequin top isn’t the only one that I’ve found that would work for the office and beyond. I absolutely love this Race Parcell cable knit sweater with a touch of sequins. This sequin camisole would look great under a blazer, without being too over the top. And when there is a chill in the office, this sequin cardigan would be perfect!

You could easily wear this top with a pair of jeans, but I decided to style it with my favorite white WHBM slim ankle pants. I am a firm believer you can wear white any time of the year. And ass long as you wear temperature-appropriate clothing, white is beautiful and stylish in the winter. I have worn these petite-friendly slim white stretch ankle pants many times (see this and this post post). They are some of my most-worn pants in my closet, and I love them because they will work year-round.

    1. Adding some zing to your office outfit can really brighten up your work day, especially during the dreary winter months. In this blog post, I share my tips for using pastel colors in your wardrobe while staying cozy and warm in the cold weather. By adding shine, you can effortlessly improve your image and fill it with much-needed brightness. So why not get into the spirit of spring while fighting off the winter blues?
