When I think about all the pieces I have in my closet, the ones I never want to get rid of are the tweed ones. Tweed is such a classic fabric that is in style no matter the decade. A nice tweed dress or blazer will look great now and 10 years from now. And tweed is versatile too!  Tweed can be dressed up or dressed down. It can be worn as professional office attire or styled with a pair of jeans for a more casual look.  Very few staple wardrobe pieces can do this. Tweed goes with almost anything, including solids, floral patterns, and stripes. So you can be certain if you invest in a nice tweed dress, skirt, or blazer you will have a piece that will last you for years!

Gal Meets Glam Leslie Dress

Given my love of tweed, I knew when I saw this Gal Meets Glam Leslie dress I knew I had to have it! To be quite honest, we photographed this dress back in October (and I finally had the chance to post about it) so it is nearly sold out. And I can see why too! I love the classic navy tweed color, and the crisp white collar and sleeves give this dress a whimsical touch. And the button detail really adds to it’s charm! This kind of dress reminds me of the timelessness of Chanel. So with it I decided to wear with it this classic Chanel brooch. This style of dress lends itself to wearing any kind of brooch really, and this one would look just as nice.

I received so many complements on this dress when I wore it, and it will definitely be on repeat! Of course this dress isn’t the only tweed piece I’ve had my eye on lately. This tweed blazer would work for the office with a nice pair of dress pants or even a skirt and into the evening with jeans. I love this tweed pullover for a casual weekend day.
